So here is a mini tour. Several rooms are missing and I'll post about them later. Right now my focus is here :) Plus they're the only photos I took yesterday. My CF card had very limited space on it and I had to choose since some of the photos I hadn't processed and was sure I had lost. Also please excuse the not so great photos. Fighting with the odd colors in the house makes for a rough time processing and honestly I really don't want to deal with it too much.
Here is what will be mine and Firefighter's room. It a loft like place at the moment. It was apparently at one time a room and they took the walls down.

I have a streaker on my hands if you can't tell.
We have obviously let the boys start ripping down the wallpaper. We'll work more on that on Thursday and Friday. After that is down we'll be putting up the textured paint and then picking out a pale/neutral color to go up over it. Right now I'm leaning towards a tan color but that could change between now and then. The bedroom will most likely be a or green. I'm leaning more towards blue right now.

Prissy Pants' room has a bit of work ahead of us. There is a wall of closet/cabinets. It's such a small room that we really need to take them out. Then we'll build her a loft bed so that she has the maximum amount of space. I believe that we'll eventually paint it a pale pink or purple. We got a beautiful butterfly border for her room. I know her loft bed will be painted a color to go with the border also.

I wasn't kidding about the paneling either. Even on her ceiling is this funky striped paneling.
Finally our bathroom/laundry area. I'm not going to complain. I love the idea of having my washer and dryer in the bathroom. Seriously do one load of clothes a night and towels every couple of days and voila you have no dirty clothes. Then again I say this now. I doubt it will work that way ;). I don't think we'll be doing a whole lot in here at all. I will be replacing the long mirror with a new one since this one is foggy. We'll also be replacing the medicine cabinet and light there with a newer one. I need to talk to my landlord to see if I can paint the cabinets/closets or if at least I can sand and restain. I'd prefer to paint but won't complain either way.

All of the upstairs windows are getting replaced this weekend. I'm so excited too. They're GBG(grill between glass) Pella windows.

Like I mentioned before I'll probably cover the family/game room tomorrow a little more in depth along with the kitchen.

WOW! You guys have done so much work and its payimg off. When you finally move in eveyone (even the kids) are going to enjoy the beautiful home you have created as a family. We also live in an older home. Only problem is space, we have 5 kids and three bedrooms but we manage by being organised and clutter free (easier said than done!). Your new home looks alot more spacious but I bet it wont take the kids long to spread themselves and there toys out and fill the space then you will wonder how you all managed in a smaller house for so long! We have a large detached games room which was a shed that we clad and put carpet in and as we have 4 boys they prefer to play outside and in the games room but at the momment we are having a heat wave. Yesterday and today temps are just over 45 degrees (114 fahrenhiet) and we have another week of approx temps 40 (104 fahernheit) so the kids are going a bit crazy stuck in the house. Congrats on the great house and looking forward to seeing more before and after photos.
