I have photos today! Lots of them. I got some for yesterday and some as proof to the do not list I posted before.
This is the textured paint I put up yesterday. By the time that I got back today the smoke/nicotine/whatever had seeped through my white and rather thick paint. This has been the battle all through the house when I paint. I'm not sure what color I'm going to paint over it but I'm pretty sure I have no other option but to paint over it now.

This is the boys' room partially painted with the evil red and primed on top waiting for the yellow. The border will go between the colors and it has firetrucks on it. I promise it will all come together in the end. I have gotten 3 more coats on now and
the red is done.

This is our new floor. Firefighter worked on it more while I applied a few more layers of red paint. Then I came downstairs and helped lay the rest. I have a blister on my right index finger from the snips we were using to cut down the tile.

Prissy Pants helped lay it too.

All the while I had child labor going on upstairs ripping down the wallpaper. The boys loved doing this. They thought it was so cool mom and dad were letting them rip it down. There are before destruction pics to come later in this awfully long post.

Now for a random probably confusing tour of the house with some random stuff missing and then some random photos from the do not list from the previous house post.
First off is the kitchen. This is my new border.

This is the cat border that was once where my border is.

These are the cabinets. Can you see the southwestern border between?

Firefighter and I will be raising the cabinets up and removing that when we attack the kitchen.

This is the tile that is there now. We will be replacing it with black and white tile.

The kitchen will have a chair rail go around it with a funky orange color I pulled out of the peaches on the border. I got that paint off the mistint shelf at walmart for a whopping $8.14. It wasn't a cheap paint either.

I'm going to save 2 of the rooms for tomorrow to blog on since I will not be going over to the house until Thursday. I have too much packing to do here at home plus Firefighter needs our van.

Here are a few of the thou shalt nots.
The layers of wallpaper. This was from just one pull.

The wallpaper on the ceiling over badly removed wallpaper

the concrete as patching. Firefighter verified that was exactly what I thought it was.

I have one more do not to add to the list now too. Do not repair holes/rips/whatever in your wallpaper with clear packing tape!

Ok my loverlies I must go to bed now. Firefighter has the night off and we've been working our butts off and we deserve a little cuddle time since I won't see him again until Thursday evening.
